These terms cover BeeSensible as a whole: the browser extension for Chrome and Edge, the desktop app for macOS and Windows, the dashboard, and the Realtime Privacy, AI tools and document anonymisation modules with the detection behind them. They apply to organisations on a paid subscription and to people using the trial. BeeSensible is built for organisations and professional users.
1. Who BeeSensible is
BeeSensible is a service of Venturo Media B.V., Spijksedijk 1a, 6917 AD Spijk, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce 72127198, VAT NL858996492B01. Email: [email protected].
In these terms, the Customer is the organisation that takes out a paid subscription. The User is the person who creates an account and uses BeeSensible, either during the trial or within an organisation on a subscription.
2. Trial and subscription
You can try BeeSensible free for 14 days, with every module and without payment details. To keep going, your organisation takes out a subscription; the order and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) apply as well. Choose no subscription and access ends with the trial.
By creating an account, installing the extension, or subscribing, you agree to these terms.
3. What BeeSensible does
BeeSensible highlights sensitive data while you type in supported applications. For each highlight you decide: remove it, replace it, or mask it. BeeSensible does not change your text, and it never blocks sending. On top of that, the AI tools module shows which AI tools are used in your organisation and shows your organisation's decision the moment someone opens one, and document anonymisation lets you clean a PDF before you share it.
Detection runs in our own EU cloud: the text goes to our servers, is processed in working memory, and is discarded right away. If on-device detection has been set up for your organisation, that happens entirely on the machine itself and the text never leaves it. In both cases we do not store the text, no outside AI service is involved, and your text is not used to train any model. The detection model is BeeSensible's own.
Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with TLS. How traffic between our own components is secured is set out in the Privacy policy.
The dashboard shows aggregated figures, not message content and no per-employee view. Detection works in Dutch and English, and only in the applications configured in the product.
4. Processor and compliance
For the paid service, the Customer is the data controller and BeeSensible is the processor. BeeSensible processes personal data on the Customer's instructions and under the Data Processing Agreement, which is signed with every Customer. A product DPIA is available on request.
BeeSensible supports compliance with privacy regulation such as the GDPR. The Customer chooses the lawful basis for its own processing and stays responsible for it, and for any employee consultation the law requires.
5. What we ask of you
The Customer sets which applications, categories, and reporting apply, and keeps its use within the law and these terms. BeeSensible helps you pay attention, but you decide what to share, remove, or replace. Detection can miss things or flag them wrongly, so do not rely on it alone. We do not guarantee that all sensitive data is found or removed; the final check is yours.
Do not use BeeSensible to monitor or assess employees or to make automated decisions about them. That is not what it is for.
6. Price and billing
Price, billing cycle, and currency are in your order. Amounts are in euros, excluding VAT, unless stated otherwise. A subscription runs monthly or annually and starts with the trial described in section 2.
The purchase runs through Paddle, our Merchant of Record (Paddle.com Market Ltd, United Kingdom). Paddle sells you the subscription, issues the invoice, and handles VAT, and Paddle's terms apply to that. Refunds are covered in our Refund policy.
7. Location and retention
Processing for detection and the dashboard takes place in the EU. We do not store the text you type. What we do keep:
- Technical logs: up to 30 days.
- Detection figures, document figures, and notices (by type, app, action, and time, without content and without a user id): up to 24 months, after which a daily cleanup removes them.
- AI-usage counters (which AI domain, how many prompts per category, how often AI is used): for as long as the organisation exists.
- Account and billing data: the contract term plus seven years, as Dutch law requires.
The services we use for this are listed in the Privacy policy.
8. Availability
We do our best, but cannot promise the service is always up. If detection is unavailable, BeeSensible says so and you confirm that message before carrying on. You can keep working, just without highlights: BeeSensible never holds back sending in the first place. We may adjust the service for security, compliance, or operations, within the DPA.
9. Use
Do not use BeeSensible to break the law, get around security, unpack the detection model, monitor others without their knowledge, or cause harm to BeeSensible or others.
10. Ownership
BeeSensible and everything around it (software, logos, the detection model) stays with BeeSensible. You get the right to use the service for the term of your subscription. What you enter stays yours.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, BeeSensible's liability over any twelve months is limited to what you paid for the service in that period. During the trial that is zero, because you have paid nothing yet. We are not liable for damage caused by detection missing something or flagging it wrongly, or for decisions you base on the service's output. This does not apply to intent or wilful recklessness, or to liability the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Term and cancellation
The trial runs 14 days and stops by itself if you choose no subscription; you delete your account yourself. A paid subscription renews as agreed at purchase. You can cancel at any time through the dashboard or support; your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew after that. In case of misuse, BeeSensible can suspend or stop access. After it ends, we delete or return personal data under the DPA and the Privacy policy, except what we must keep by law.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We announce material changes in advance where required. If you keep using the service afterwards, that counts as agreement. If you disagree, you can stop or, on a paid subscription, cancel under section 12.
14. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the Gelderland District Court, location Arnhem.
